Welcome to the Partnership
for a Safe and Healthy Pacifica

The Partnership for a Safe and Healthy Pacifica has been in existence since 2005 to recognize and reduce alcohol and substance abuse among our young people.

Partnership community partners include school boards, families, civic leaders, youth-serving agencies, city and local government, the faith community and other concerned citizens.

The Partnership is proud of its dedication and commitment to community change. This coalition will continue to assess the needs of the community, plan and implement strategies that address these needs, and evaluate each step to insure that goals and objectives are reached.

Our Two Main Goals:

  • Reduce substance abuse among Pacifica youth, particularly alcohol, by addressing the factors that increase the prevalence of underage drinking.
  • Strengthen and promote collaboration among community members, private and nonprofit agencies, and Federal, State, and local governments to support The Partnership's efforts.

Our Mission:

We exist to create a safe and healthy Pacifica by mobilizing the community to effect change—and reduce substance abuse.”

The Partnership is currently funded through the Drug Free Communities Support Program from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). This federal funding seeks to engage all sectors of the community in grassroots efforts to reduce substance use.
